Printly Review 2022 – Is Designing Printables Effortless?

Printly is a powerful and easy to digest video course that teaches how to design and sell printable products online. Printables range from calendars to T-shirts and selling them can be a solid method to make money. I decided to write this printly review after going through the course.

I’m not a great designer, so I’m not sure I’ll ever personally make use of what I learned in Printly, but I will recommend the lessons inside it to many friends who are more artistic than me.

This article contains affiliate links. If you follow them and then make a purchase, I may receive a commission at no additional expense to you. Thanks for reading!

While I wouldn’t call it a way to make quick cash, this course’s methods can certainly be used to make money. The right application of creativity and business understanding may be necessary, but that’s true of most things. In fact I think you could use the skills taught here to create a productized service similar to unlimited copywriting.

Full Disclosure: I’m not a Printly affiliate, but I do think it’s a good course and I may recommend other affiliate links to you on this page, from which I’ll earn a commission if you make purchases.

My personal opinion is that while this course teaches a cool and workable way of making money online, there are other methods that are easier and have higher rates of success.

I find many affiliate marketing strategies easy and effective. If you’d like to learn how to build a successful online business from one of my mentors, I recommend checking out the Work With Sebastian program.

What is Printly? Is it Worth the Price?

Compiled by Brendon Mace and taught by Ike Paz, Printly is a step by step training which teaches over the shoulder how to create digital printables and sell them online. Specifically, Ike Paz’s lessons demonstrate how you can potentially create a mostly passive income by selling printables on your own WooCommerce site or on a platform like Etsy or Fiverr. This has become known as “the Printly method” among some circles of students of the course.

At a price of $15.91, I would say the frontend product is worth it. You get both the original course and 2.0 for that price, and that’s really all you need if you’re an industrious self-starter. Beyond the front end there are various upsells and downsells offering DFY (done for you) printable templates, coaching (access to Brendan), and license rights.

The reason I say you only need the initial offer is that it comes with more than just video training. You also get a resource guide or two, some free software, and access to the private Facebook group. You don’t really need any special skills to follow the instructions, although design skills would certainly be a benefit.

Printly 2.0 – Free Traffic and More Sales

printly method free traffic

While the first edition of this course focused mostly on creating printable calendars, invitations, games, PDFs, and so forth, 2.0 zeroes in on creating and selling t-shirts. 2.0 also includes some free traffic training, which teaches you how to generate leads and make sales using a free traffic method from Facebook.

While Ike Paz goes over everything fairly quickly, he does cover some extremely effective list building techniques. I think anyone who has a flair for design and a little technical expertise would be able to create a new income stream with these methods.

Can this training be used to make thousands of dollars? Probably. I’ve never really tried because I don’t have a flair for design and I genuinely believe affiliate marketing and creating other types of digital products works better for me. At this point in my business I’d rather spend time creating a digital product like an SEO course rather than printables. However I would love to create some custom t-shirts or hoodies at some point, I’m just not certain what I want to put on them yet.

What Do the Video Tutorials Cover?

The course starts off with a demonstration of how to use Canva (a free design software) and free resources from websites like Pixabay to create different types of printables. This is the part that is really step by step and good for beginners. Once calendars, games, invitations, banners, and logos are all covered, the final HD videos show how to set up your own printables store.

There are many different ways to set up an online store. If you plan to master the free traffic source taught in Printly 2.0, then I recommend using GrooveFunnels. With GrooveFunnels you get free access to GroovePages, GrooveSell, GrooveKart, which (other than an autoresponder) are all the tools you need to set up your passive income stream. If you don’t have an autoresponder yet I recommend GetResponse.

The reason I recommend GrooveFunnels over creating a web site with WordPress / WooCommerce is that Groove is a fully integrated and easy to use platform. If you set up something wrong on WordPress, it can bring your whole store crashing down, so unless you’re an experienced user it’s just easier to start with GrooveFunnels.

If you don’t want to worry about getting your own Facebook traffic or YouTube traffic, you may need to stick to the simple marketplaces like Etsy. This will take a cut of your profits, but it will also make it easier to find customers and make sales.

Printly Bonuses

Since I’m not a Printly affiliate I can’t exactly offer a bonus to go with it… but if you purchase any of the products I recommend on this page, I’ll give you a free logo animation and access to my private Facebook group, where you can ask me any questions you need and get help from me and my friends who are also involved in online business. Basically if I profit from your purchases, I’ll do my best to make sure you get the most out of them!

Speaking of bonuses, if you do get Printly make sure you download the 2.0 resource guide and check out the free software. I almost missed it the first time I went through the lessons!

Conclusion – Does This Method Work?

While I haven’t actually tried my hand at marketing digital printables, I believe it can work. On the other hand, the free traffic methods taught in this course DO work. I’ve used Facebook groups to meet new connections on Facebook and created a funnel-like profile that drives them towards my offers. This is actually organic affiliate marketing 101, but it works just as well for selling your own stuff.

So does it work, and is it worth it? I’d have to say yes, if you’re passionate about design and want to use that passion to boost your income level, I’d say try this out. I don’t know if it will help you build a multi-figure income, but if you put enough effort into it it probably can.

At the end of the day, it’s not just about printables with Print-ly. You get some serious social media marketing training which you can implement in under a month. Some of the strategies in this course are actually the same as those taught in Work With Sebastian, but WWS goes into much more detail and has several other advantages besides. If you want to build an online business and you don’t have your heart set on selling wall games on Etsy, I think Work With Sebastian is a better option.

I will be clear on this though, nothing I recommend is a way to “satisfy huge demand” or “make a ton of cash fast”. It takes work to build a business, but if you’re passionate about it I believe you can succeed. If you’re ready to take massive action and want step by step training that covers online business, free and paid traffic, and affiliate marketing, check out Work With Sebastian!
