Affordable and free resources for business owners, marketers, and writers are greatly needed in 2021. More and more people are choosing to learn to make money online, and most entrepreneurs start out with little to no capital.
That’s why I decided to put together this list of my favorite resources – I recommend starting at the top and working your way down.
Note: I am an affiliate marketer and this page contains affiliate and referral links. If you follow them and make a purchase, I may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.
My Top Business, Writing, and Marketing Tools
Jarvis.ai – This is arguably the most powerful AI copywriting software on the market. Ever had writers block? You never will again with Jarvis AI. Harness the power of artificial intelligence in everything you write!
GrooveFunnels – Free Website / Funnel Builder and Marketing Software: GrooveFunnels is a really robust marketing platform with an epic free tier. If you want to do things like build websites and funnels, start an ecommerce store, and create membership websites but you’re on a tight budget, Groove is a great way to get started.
Aweber – Free email marketing platform: Aweber is one of the oldest and best email marketing platforms and (in my opinion) is the best one that offers a free tier. With a free Aweber account you can collect and manage up to 500 subscribers – that’s enough to earn quite a bit through a well monetized mailing list!
Invideo – This awesome video making and editing app is completely cloud based (you don’t have to download it),and it has a free tier! I use this for YouTube videos and any other kind of animated to stylized video content I may need. Set up a free account today!
Grammarly – Free grammar checker and proofreading tool: Grammarly has got to be the best known grammar + spelling + proofreading tool on the web. Its free tier has a tone of awesome functionality that is especially valuable for less experienced writers.
Clickup – Free Project Management Software: This is a platform similar to Monday.com but it has a free forever tier and (in my opinion) is significantly more powerful. You can use Clickup to manage anything from a content calendar to pretty much your entire business.
PLR.me – Massive brandable content library, just waiting to help with your creation process.
Free Marketing Webinars
Authority Hacker Webinar – If you want to learn SEO (search engine optimization), this webinar is a great place to start. The Authority Site System is one of the best SEO courses I ever took and I continue to benefit from the lessons I took from it to this day.
John Crestani’s Affiliate Marketing Webinar – John Crestani is likely among the most successful affiliate marketers in the world, and he shares a number of significant insights in his webinars.
John Thornhill’s Product Creation Webinar – If you’d rather sell your own digital products instead of doing affiliate marketing, this is the mini course you want to watch. John Thornhill has earned millions online, and he passes a ton of his wisdom along in this webinar. Check it out!
Marketing, Writing, and Business Resources Worth Buying
Socialbee – Advanced social media mangement made easy. This app saves me at least a few hours a week!
Frase.io – my favourite SEO research and content optimization tool. Frase helps me quickly research my topic and the competition, and helps me write articles that rank even for competitive keywords.
GetResponse – best email marketing platform for affiliate marketers. This is the email marketing software that I currently use and recommend for anyone who’s doing affiliate marketing.
Web Hosting Canada – the best Canadian web hosting company. They have better prices and services than their competitors, this is a no-brainer if you’re Canadian and need hosting for a WordPress website (or anything else you can host on cPanel).
WPX Hosting – the best managed WordPress hosting for those outside of Canada. WPX has some of the fastest hosting on the internet and its completely managed, leaving you more time to run your business.
ConvertBox – the best conversion software / popup builder / on-site messaging platform I’ve ever used. ConvertBox helps me get more subscribers on my email list and make sales on my blog, among other things.
Divi from Elegant Themes – the best general WordPress theme. Divi is not perfect for every project, but it works very well for most websites. The license comes with two premium themes (Divi and Extra) and two premium plugins (Monarch and Bloom). Divi was one of the first things I invested in when starting my business and it helped me get my website going quickly.
Marketer’s Delight – My favorite marketing WordPress theme. It’s super fast and lightweight and great for sites that Divi isn’t quite appropriate for or hosts that can’t handle heavy themes.
Designrr – Beautiful ebook creation software plus so much more. The front end product is great for making ebooks for lead magnets or anything else, but the true power of it lies in the Premium and Agency editions.
Human Proof Designs – Done-for-you websites, content writing, and SEO services. I use HPD for their content writing services, but they’re best known for the pre-made websites they sell that allow people to kickstart an online company.
No Limit Creatives – unlimited design services. If you need someone to take care of your graphic design and video design needs, these folks are experts in the industry.
Top Marketing, Writing, and Business Courses
One Funnel Away Challenge – Created by the incredible marketers at ClickFunnels, this incredible program is responsible for injecting inspiration into the lives of many entrepreneurs. It comes with a ton of bonuses and extra help, so I highly recommend checking it out.
The Authority Site System – One of the best SEO courses on the market, hands down.
Virtual Assistant / Remote Worker Resources
OnlineJobs.ph – best place to hire overseas remote workers, from VAs to designers to writers. You have to manage your own workers, but they are highly skilled and will save you a lot of time.
iWorker.co – another great option for hiring remote workers. This is a service, not a marketplace, so if you want someone else to take care of financials and avoid any chance of getting scammed, iWorker is great.
