Content is king, but you’ve heard that before.
Has anyone ever told you why content rules the courtyard?
It’s because even with all our modern technology, we’ve yet to create a more effective means of mass communication. To build your brand, you need to tell its story… and for that, you need content.
But what is content marketing? It’s the creation of materials (often educational) for the purpose of attracting interest to a certain website or area. As a former freelance writer, content creation is a keystone service which I have years of experience providing to a wide variety of clients. I can write high quality copy for your website, or SEO-friendly posts for your blog.
But I don’t limit myself to written content. I’m also well versed in the creation of video tutorials and other multimedia.
Video is statistically the most engaging form of media, and if you post it to multiple platforms it can pretty much pay for itself. Viewers of video posts on Facebook can be retargeted with ads based on watch time, and YouTube videos can be used to send personalized multimedia messages when they’re not set to public.
The number of ways to implement video content in your marketing strategy is only increasing as websites and mobile apps become faster and more advanced. Now is a great time to start investing in video marketing, because in five years EVERYONE will be doing it and there’ll be even more competition than there is now.
If you need content for your web pages or posts for your blog, I can either write them or act as a project manager and editor to help you outsource them. I’m part of a growing community of skilled writers, so finding people who specialize in different niches is usually not too difficult.

Before opening my business I worked for years as a freelance writer, and in that time I wrote everything from fictional books to ad copy and beyond. While I prefer writing shorter media, I do enjoy creating longer blog posts and am available for projects such as ghostwriting under the right circumstances.
Whether you’re looking to make a lead magnet to help build your email list or a full fledged ebook for self publishing, I have the software and experience to get the job done.
Infographics and other visual media play an important role when it comes to getting social traffic to your blog. Nothing will attract visitors better than an effective visual (unless it’s an effective video), and infographics can be a great way to communicate the content of a an entire article quickly. I’ve noticed a direct correlation between the presence of infographics on my site and earned backlinks to those posts.
In other words – people prefer sharing posts that include visual media! I’m not the best designer in the world, but I work with some incredible designers and professional grade assets and software to produce visual content that is inherently eye-pleasing and shareable. Your blog won’t just attract attention – it will maintain and multiply it.

Another reason content wears the crown is that it attracts the gold standard of traffic; sustainable free traffic. That’s something you can’t just buy – unless you hire the right content marketer.
Hinty hint hint.
My approach to content marketing has a single primary focus. I will find out where your ideal customers spend time online and create content that will move them from their comfort zone to your website and/or social channels. This often means blog writing and search engine optimization, but in some cases social media marketing and even strategies such as forum marketing can be more effective.
Wherever your ideal customer hang their electronic hats, I’ll help you find them and market to them effectively.
It’s the practice of creating multimedia materials that will attract and assist potential customers while promoting your brand.
